Any VBAC successes with similar situation?

I had a c-section with my first due to premature rupture of membranes (my water was accidentally broke by my doctor during a cervical check). I was 39+6 weeks.
Shortly after, they started to induce me with medication. After 12 hours, I accepted the epidural. After 24 hours I was only 5 cm dilated :( They said I would need to have a c-section at that point, and of course I consented. 
Still unsure if my cervix failed to progress due to my anatomy or due to premature rupture of membranes? Would my unfortunate situation have anything to do with me not progressing?

Wow, I think that's terrible a doctor accidentally causing your waters to break 😔 it's quite shocking aswell. Can't believe it.

Same thing happened to me when I was 38weeks 5days. Had a cervical check done and was slowly leaking water for two days because I didn’t realize it & went to the hospital I was only 1cm dilated.They gave me pitocin then after several hours they offered me an epidural to relax. After 24 hours of labor I only got to 4cm then they said I would need a c-section. That was 5 years ago & now I’m ttc baby #2 and praying for a vbac. I’m nervous about cervical checks since that incident.

I would say you’re a good candidate to try and VBAC since you didn’t go into labor on your own. Usually induction methods work great, but often they just don’t work as well as the body’s natural labor process.

I had similar situation happen and am hoping for a VBAC in March. My water started leaking the morning after a membrane sweep but never fully broke and I ended up being induced with pitocin and labored 46hrs and never getting past 2cm. I'm hoping that I didn't dilate because of PROM but there doesn't seem to be any studies on whether or not that can cause it.

Any VBAC successes with similar situation?
