Is this a hostile work environment?

One of the people I supervise is incredibly religious, which does not bother me in the slightest. I find that people who are able to establish a strong connection or relationship with God or whatever they define as a higher power generally seem happy and I would never interfere with that. What does bother me is that this guy is CONSTANTLY preaching to me and everyone else about God. He literally talks about nothing else. Every time I try to have a conversation with him, he steers it back to God and talks to me as if I'm an ignorant sinner in need of correction. Even more aggravating is that I was raised Baptist and studied religion in college and he always assumes he knows more than me and lectures to me condescendingly. I literally had to tell him what a Protestant was because he didn't know! Yet he constantly feels the need to explain my own religion to me and why I am wrong and I should believe as he does. He is also incredibly sexist, saying "women should stay quiet in church and defer to their husbands at home" or that women were not made in the image of God. I'm not even very religious, I just have a religious background and every day that I come into work I have to listen to him preach. I've told him multiple times to stop. And he will temporarily stop with me but he'll still do it to other people around me and when I'm in a group conversation with him. Eventually he goes right back to it. I have talked to my boss and he just writes it off like oh that's just ___insert name here____ The only other thing he talks about is hooking up with women (hypocritical I know. He said he was giving up all sin except for that one because "God told him it was ok.") I'm literally hiding in my office right now to avoid him. Is this a hostile work environment? How should I deal with this?
