How old to start potty training?🤔🤮🤮🤮

I’m wondering how old is too old to start potty training? My LO is 18 months old and I’m so proud of her, she just pooped and peed in her potty😃😃 But I know she won’t be able to control her body or tell us when she has to go until she’s older. Just wondering if starting now, might get her out of diapers sooner🧐

Hey, if she is interested let her go with it. Do not push it, just encourage and praise.

The more I tried to push my son to potty train he wouldn't. Finally for his 3rd birthday we got him a new big boy potty and then told him Santa brought a present early with a note pretty much saying Santa only brings toys to big boys who use the potty. He trained in 2 weeks. Don't push it too early or it may deter them away.

That’s not young- my kids were all totally trained by 18 months. They can learn if you’re patient and consistent.
My littlest is currently 15 months and almost there. You just have to go slowly. Show them what it is for, let them use it, remind them throughout the day so they can sit a while, and congratulate them when they do use it. I don’t like the all or nothing approach- they will eventually switch to 100% potty on their own when I do it this way.
