Jacuzzi During Labor?

Question

First Time Mom: Took a tour of the hospital the other day and found our all the labor and delivery rooms have a Jacuzzi tub for labor (not delivery). I've always loved relaxing in a hot tub but didnt know how it would be during birth. Anybody use it at the hospital? Pros? Cons? Love your thoughts on it.

OMG yes🙌🏼 water helps to much during labor! I was so mad when I had to get out to birth my daughter. She needed some turning or I wouldn't have gotten out.

I'll be doing a water birth for my second. I spent a lot of time in the shower when I was in labor with my daughter and a birthing pool would of been amazing!

I labored in it for about 5 hours. AMAZING. I’m totally gonna ask for one next time too.

My sister said if she could’ve delivered in the tub she would have, but they wouldn’t let her. For me, it didn’t help at all (I normally LOVE baths). In fact, my water broke while in the tub and after that my contractions were unbearable no matter what. 
The birthing center I’m going to this time offers water births in their tubs, so I’ll try them again and see. It really just depends on the labor I think!
