I was raped by a different man while I was dating my current boyfriend over the summer. I’m pregnant and going through a lawyer to TRY get the guy put in jail. My lawyer suggested that I make my domestic partner (my boyfriend) the baby’s legal parent so the offender can’t request any paternal rights until the baby is born but if he did after the baby was born I could deny them because of the situation. I’ve been with my boyfriend for almost 10 months and want a future with him but I’m scared to ask him about this or even bring it up
