My mom doesn’t want me to give birth anywhere but a hospital...

My moms labors all had complications and were scary for her and my dad so she’s opposed to me giving birth anywhere but a hospital in case of an emergency.

I have my own fears too but I would love to have a waterbirth, or at least labor in the water. Baths help with my pain and I have already decided I don’t want an epidural so that makes sense to me.

I also don’t like how rushed hospital birth videos seem after the baby is born. I just want to hold my baby girl until I’m ready for her to be weighed and such.

I don’t want to give birth at home or in a birthing center and have her stressing me out or making me feel guilty the whole time but I would really like her support.

Should I just give birth in a hospital this first time and try for a compromise next baby as long as this birth goes well?
