Second time mom, baby feels too low

So, this will be my second child, but my first is already 9 years old. So, it’s been a while. This baby feels really low. Like, really low. I remember my son being high in my ribs, I’ve had very little of that with this baby. I feel him pushing in my hip bones and my pelvis, I didn’t even know that was possible. I’m at almost 31 weeks. Ive been getting Braxton Hicks contractions for a few weeks, but for the last couple of days, they’ve been making me nauseous. My dr said as long as I don’t have 4 or more within an hour, I’m good. But I’m having like 3 almost every hour, but not in any real pattern. I’m nervous and uncomfortable and ready for January. Is this normal though? Is there such a thing as the baby being too low?
