Trying to conceive after PID 😔

November 2016 I had a Paraguard IUD place shortly after the birth of my son. About a week after the insertion I knew something was wrong and made a follow up appointment with my doctor. I was having pain(with intercourse), a yellow watery discharge, and foul odor. The doctor tested me for std/sti which were negative (I have been in a monogamous/married relationship for several years). I was told I had bv and I was sent home with antibiotics. For the next year that how thing went the smell, discharge, pain, and bv antibiotics. In 2017 I saw a new doctor and I was told I didn’t have bv , and I was diagnosed with endometritis (PID) . He decided to leave the IUD in place and I was treated for about a month to clear up the infection. For the next year the pain and symptoms didn’t go away and in 2018 I was back at the doctors. I decided to remove the IUD start on the pill and was told my Endometritis never went away. I am currently on my second round of antibiotics and still having pelvic pain. The doctor explained my risk for infertility was pretty high and I’m saddened because I wanted to try to conceive my 3rd child.

Currently only on the pill to try and control the abnormal bleeding that occurred after the iud removal

I was just hoping maybe someone out there has some positive words of encouragement because I am dying on the inside 😔
