What to feed 7 month old

My daughter is exclusively breastfed. At first I tried feeding her puréed fruits & veggies, she won’t eat it. Ive gave her banana & apple slices, she sucks on them but that’s it. I gave her some toast once & she ate it. I got her baby food, she hates it & will make the gagging noise & keep her lips shut tight so I can’t feed her more. My sister says to start her on table foods, whatever I’m eating just chew & give baby some but I’m skeptical because what I eat may have too much sugar, salt or fat & Idk If that’s a good idea. But apparently this is how she feeds her 8 month old. Anyone skip right to table foods?

I wouldn’t chew food and then offer it to baby. You’d be exposing baby to your germs and any potential illnesses as well as any potential cavities (which you may not even know about) as decay spreads and could be introduced to your baby’s brand new teeth. 
7 months is young still. Just keep offering various types, textures, and flavors. Baby should still be getting all needed nutrients from breast milk or formula at this age anyways.

Have you tried thinning out the puree with breastmilk? My daughter would eat purees at that age unless they were the right texture and consistency 🤷‍♀️ if they are craweling then you can try the disolving yogurt bites? You can find them with just greek yogurt and fruits/veggies

Food before one is just for fun 😊 7 months is still young. Keep offering food, but don't sweat it if she doesn't eat it. Right now it's more about learning than anything

We never did pureed anything. It doesn't help them in any way. We went right to table foods at 6 months. Our daughter has always eaten what we eat. We eat very clean in our home and very rarely buy any processed crap so it's never an issue to give her what we eat. And we don't chew it first before giving it to her. It's so odd and disgusting to me that your sister does that and suggested it 🤢 there's no need for that. If you make sure everything is cut appropriately, she'll be just fine.

Breast milk is fine for the first year. She might not be ready yet so off her different purées ..if she gaging they could be too thick. But if she’s not into it try again later.

My son went from 1st to 2nd to 3rd to table foods in 2 months because he could handle it and wanted it, but if yours doesn’t then its different. It all depends on your own baby, every baby is different. I’d ask pediatrician.
