Root canal vs. extraction?!

Help! I have consulted with several dentists and I am so conflicted about my infected tooth- should I get the root canal or get it extracted? Do you have experience with either procedure? Tell me everything please!!

I would get an extraction then an implant. Getting a root canal then crown cost just as much if not more and the tooth left under the crown goes bad eventually. Was told this by a dental assistant at my oral surgeons.

There's new information coming out that root canals can damage your health over time. There's a documentary 'Root Cause' my husband had a root canal years ago. He's now in his 40s and had so many health problems but never connected it. Well he got the root canal area cleaned out and extraction and his health improved very quickly. However if you get the tooth out, you'll need a bridge/denture etc which is $ or just be without a tooth in that spot.

There’s no guarantee that the root canal will work. Plus root canal is more expensive. Mine was in the back so I just had it pulled.
