Honestly, we just use condoms. My OB approves and I don't have to worry about the hormones.

Do not get the shot! It has had a negative effect on everyone I know who's taken it, including me.

My doctor didn’t recommend the depo shot because I want more kids in near future (within two years) so that might be worth taking in consideration.

I tried the mini pill first and didn’t like it so I switched to an IUD. Neither affected my milk supply but I prefer the IUD, hands down

Talked with my OB if your exclusively breastfeeding that itself is a form of contraception bc you don’t have a period for the first 6 months. Only if your exclusively breast feeding. He said every four hours in the day and six at night. He said that alone with condoms. But for me I would’ve done the mini pill so it didn’t cut off supply. If I wanted another choice of contraception. I’d ask your dr if that a good option for you.
