Are these safe for babies?

Are these safe? I feel like my son’s head would slip out of it. Just looking at these pictures of other babies with them gives me anxiety. 
What are your thoughts on them? Have you used one with your baby/babies?

I've always wondered how you get baby's head in and out with out traumatizing or injuring them with little plastic scratches 🤷🏼‍♀️maybe in crazy idk

This is one of the dumbest things I've  seen for babies. I never considered getting one but my kids doctor preemptively warned me against  them. His whole pediatric group puts out a psa. He said parents think theres no neck strain because their body  weight is countered by floating but it isnt enough relief and there is damage done to ligaments. That and babies can flip over and get stuck underwater. Apparently this did happen with a parent who thought it was so safe she could leave the baby alone 🤦‍♀️

They're considered "safe", but I'd never ever put my child in one 😬 their poor necks need more support than that.

Personally, I don't think I'd ever use one for my son. They scare the shit out of me. 😅😩

They are safe under close supervision (obviously) We used the otteroo with our daughter, she loved it!

We use one in our pool. My daughter loves it and gets so excited when she sees it. There is seriously zero “weight” on their necks and she’s never been uncomfortable. It looks strange but it’s actually a really cool floaty. 🤷🏻‍♀️
