Weaned baby still wants to "nurse"

After a lot of back and forth, I finally got my 14 month old weaned from nursing. Day feedings were easy to cut out but night feedings were awful. He's been off nursing 100% for just over a week now but at night he still is constantly clawing at my chest (I should add that he still sleeps with us) and rooting around at night. We've started giving him whole milk in a bottle at night which helps a little. Has anyone else weaned? We're they done when you were done? Or did they keep trying to come back for more? Lol
