Blocked on Facebook...
Okay CC, I’m not sure how controversial this is but bear with me.
Jay Edwards is the State Rep for my district. I disagree with many of his views, but that’s not what this is about. He’s made a habit of blocking people on his Facebook page. But it’s a page, not a personal account. He has both, but only the page is open to the public.
Before the election, I commented on a post defending his opponent. I didn’t say anything bad about Edwards, only good things about the other guy. He blocked me. My friend messaged his page asking for clarification on something he posted (which he says in his post is okay) but because she was questioning his motives, he blocked her. I have other friends he’s done it to, there’s 6 of us total. And then viral posts circulating where he’s done it to others.
My question: does this make him look bad? Suggest bad character? I know he can do whatever he wants on his private Facebook (hence why it’s private) but his public page as well?
It’s not a huge deal to me, I don’t care if he blocked me. But I do think it suggests negative characteristics.
