How much would you pay for a diaper cake ? Cost about $70 to make and more for shipping.

I’m selling diaper cakes and diaper wreaths. I have so many friends and family members having babies and everyone wants one so I thought “why not sell them” 
Just trying to see how much people would actually spend on it. They are great baby shower gifts. These prices are for my biggest diaper cakes.
3 tier with a wine middle, baby wash clothes, baby lotion/soaps, a couple of onesies, socks , and 4-5 toys *cake is in a basket that can later be used in baby’s room* 
Please comment other prices if you feel mine are inaccurate.

Personally, I would never pay even close to those amounts. If I saw that price, I’d just make my own🤷🏻‍♀️

I used to sell diaper cakes. Everyone would say they were too expensive yet once you buy everything for it, I’d spend over $100. You’d think an extra 30-50 bucks for my time spent making it shouldn’t be a big deal but a lot of people would rather get something as cheap as possible but don’t even want to spend the time making it themselves either. It’s tough but considering I know what it costs to make one and how much time it takes I’d spend good money on one.

I don’t feel like you’re charging too much considering what’s in them. My mom spent $120 on mine for a 3 tier and 3 small ones off Etsy that just had diapers! 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

I feel I would make it to order. For example have a suggested pricing depending on materials used and time spent? That way the person knows exactly what they are paying for. I personally wouldn’t want a diaper cake only because I want to cloth diaper but they look really nice and can get quite spendy  to make. 150-175 is reasonable when you add all the retail and time you put into it.

I would make a variety of sizes and types to attract different types of customers. I know that I could never afford that much for a baby shower and I’d just make my own. I made one that was 3 tier with toys and binkies for $30-40.
