When did you wean off of your nipple shield? For those who’ve used it.

My LO is 3 weeks old and he’s able to latch on now but it’s a very shallow latch. He has a small mouth and my nipples are short and my breasts are wider than they are long.. especially when full. I’ve seen a Lactation consultant, I’ve tried the flipple technique and different positions but I still get a pinched nipple pretty much every time he latches without the shield. I’m wondering if I’ll ever be able to stop using the shield. 😕🙍🏻‍♀️
