Spitting up 3 1/2 hours after eating?

My LO is 6 weeks old and has bad silent reflux. Dr has her on Zantac. Just woke up this morning and spit up quite a bit 3 1/2 hours after her last feeding?!  
Is that normal? To not have digested her food yet?

That is normal. My little one has bad reflux and constantly spit up at that age. We put him on Zantac because he was in such pain. We tried everything before the Zantac and nothing worked. We tried to stop taking it when he got older but he started refusing to eat until he started it again.

When my sister had reflux my mom used the baby rice to thicken the formula up which made it harder to spit up and also made her more full so she slept longer

I would look into a lip/tongue tie. My daughter used to spit up a lot and i got her lip and tongue tie revised via laser and she no longer spits up or is fussy!

From my experience, babies usually spit up when they aren't burped. It could be from the reflux.. research natural ways to rid the problem. Babies shouldn't be on medication that young.
