Sleep help needed!

I had my son sleeping in a bassinet beside our bed and he did ok in it. He normally woke up about every 2 hours, I would nurse him and he’d go back to sleep and I’d put him back into the bassinet and he’d be fine. In the last month or so he started to not want to sleep in it. When I put him back down after he nursed and fell asleep he would wake up and cry right away. I also woke up to him almost leaning over the edge and he’s growing out of it. He just turned 7 months old. So since he’s too big for it I was going to transition him into his crib but was not looking forward to it since he wakes up every 2 hours I’d have to walk down the hall to his room over and over and that’s if he’d sleep in there at all.

So my husband said we should just put the pack n play where his bassinet is instead so that’s what we did. He will not sleep in the bassinet at all. I can get him to sleep in there for about an hour after I lay him down the first time but after that he refuses and he cries and screams. I’ve tried letting him cry it out but he won’t calm down unless I pick him up and even then he’s still worked up for a while.

I have no idea what to do and really need tips and advice!
