Rsv is awful

April

So I am sitting here writing this as I hold my 6 month old baby for the third time in the er. On Thursday he got sick with cold like symptoms after two doctor visits they say it’s a cold and he will be fine in a few days. On sat i go urgent care pet doctors orders due to heavy hard breathing and contractions on his ribs from breathing. She proceeded to do a breathing treatment and send me home with the stuff and to do breathing treatments every 4 hours. Well on Sunday night he is so to have a breathing treatment and I noticed he is really having trouble so I call the doctor and she said take him to the er. Get to the er and his oxygen is good when he is awake as he sleeps they notice it isn’t coming up it they decide to admit him they test for rsv finally and it is positive. They keep him over night and he is released the next morning . Fast forward to that night again breathing issues. Oxygen is a little low this time but nothing to concerning. They ask if he is eating I tell them he went from three solids a day and 24 ounces to no solids and half of 24 ounces they say that is ok he is sick. Is he wetting I say yes but nothing like what he was. All ok they send us home breathing treatments and suction like crazy. He started throwing up last night and so far today he only ate 10 oz of formula still no solids. They say he is dehydrated they try to start an iv after six people in the room and ultrasound machine do to how dry he is his veins keep blowing they are taking about having a iv in his head!!! What??????!!!!!! So they decide to give him some pedilyte and so far he is keeping it down thank u Jesus. Pray for Hudson please that one he drinks enough that if they still need an iv that he can have it in his arm. Two of not and he needs it in his head that they get it right away and he is better. Pray that he is ok before they release him. Pray that I can keep it together my husband is at home wit the other two kids and I am by myself. Well not really I have god with me. Will update when I know more.
