Water leak??

I am currently watching my friends daughter. I was holding her near my legs sitting down. And all of a sudden i felt water type liqud run down my thigh close to my vagina. I checked her to see if she had peed on me but she was dry. I then went to the bathroom to check myself and peed but my underwear and shorts were not wet. They were damp. But it didnt feel like they were wet. I smelt the liqud and it didnt smell like pee. And were i was sitting there is a wet spot. Could this be my water?? Im 38 weeks and 2 days. But im not contarcting .
