Wiping babies after pee’d diapers

I’ve always wiped babies butts after every diaper change no matter pee or poop. My husbands sisters and my mother in law never wipe babies if they pee’d they just change the diaper and go. I’ve been so shocked at this no matter if it’s a baby girl or a baby boy they never use wipes after pee. I was shocked because I wonder if they themselves don’t wipe after peeing if so I can feel the UTI burning ouch!

They seen me change their babies and I always wipe them after peeing seems like common sense to avoid rashes and odor or uti’s. Their babies always have diaper rashers & smell bad u can smell their bottoms through the diaper when just changed to a clean diaper. They think I’m wasting wipes & that it isn’t necessary to do that because they are “just babies.”

Anybody thoughts??
