Ethnic Adoption...

On the face of it, offering a better life to a child born into underprivileged circumstances is a wonderful act of human kindness. But what if the child is of a different ethic heritage to his or her adoptive parents? Will the inevitable acculturation negatively impact on the child’s development?

I personally feel as long as you stay true to your child’s culture and learn as much about it and instill in your child’s upbringing then you are doing him or her justice to their heritage and overall knowledge to who they are.
