Second Adoption Parent...

On average, second parent adoptions – which many same-sex parents (myself included,) need to complete - cost from $2,000 to $3,000 including home study expenses which range between $1,000 and $2,000 and legal fees of approximately $1,000.

Do you feel it’s fair for same-sex couples (LEGALLY MARRIED SAME-SEX COUPLES) to undergo all these legalities and costs just to be seen as a parent to their OWN child that they helped bring into the world?? Do you feel it should change in the future??

**IM NOT TALKING ABOUT REGULAR ADOPTION OR ANYTHING ELSE OUTSIDE OF SAME-SEX MARRIED COUPLE’S GOING THROUGH ADDITIONAL HOOPS (Second parent adoption) JUST TO BE SEEN AS A FAMILY UNIT IN SOCIETY.**
