antibiotics and birth control?

so i take a combination birth control pill and right now i am currently 4 days into the sugar pills (i’m on my period) and last night i TRIED having protected sex with my boyfriend but the condone broke and he ended up finishing inside me. but today i realized that my earring hole was badly infected so i am going to be placed on antibiotics.. can i start taking them and still be protected ?
