Solids?

Question

How many times a day is your baby eating solids? Astrid only takes solids once a day, so we are wondering what it fellow May babies do!

Luna is more interested in stealing off my plate right now, and only gets a few pieces in her mouth before she is satisfied. I give her a palmful of nibbles of what we are having at dinner time, but the rest of the day I just let her share with me if she is interested.

We have been doing twice a day for about a week now. Rice or oat cereal with fruit for breakfast. And usually meat and veggies at supper time.

Once a day, occasionally skipping a day or two. Milk should still be their main source of nourishment at this age, solids are just for fun.

Currently 2. He has about 1/3 pouch of fruit with lunch and an ice cube of veggie purée for dinner.

We do one container of fruit or veggies during the day and then 1/2 container for dinner. She has been sitting on her own for over a month, but I still give her the supported sitter container. We are doing 4 days per flavor. She has green beans and peaches before I move her up to the sitter size containers. I’m not going to increase her nighttime food for a little while. We are doing it more for the social aspect.

We just got up to 3 times a day this week. Oatmeal with fruit for breakfast, veggies for lunch, and some kind of meat blend for dinner. He loves to eat!! However my first son didn't really start eating till 6 months and wasnt up to 3 times a day till almost 7 months because he couldn't get the tung motion down

My son absolutely loves food. Has no interest in baby food at all. He will eat whatever we eat. However, I do not feed him every day. Some meals aren't suitable for him and my milk is really the only source of nutrition he needs right now so anything else I give him is just a bonus. If it were up to him though I'm sure he'd eat food all day long though somedays he doesn't seem very interested in eating at all.

Three meals and a yogurt snack if he wants it.  His ped said to feed him as much as he wants; sometimes he wants a lot, sometimes not so much.  Hasn’t impacted milk consumption at all, but the ped said that we should start seeing a natural decline in milk consumption over the next few months so we’re on the lookout for that.

Once a day.. she’s not taking in much either.  My ped would like her to increase to twice a day, but she doesn’t want it.  The once a day is sometimes a struggle.
