10 dpo blood test

I’m currently 10 dpo with a bfn this morning.... I have a dr app at 11:20 today and they will be doing an hcg blood test. Is 10dpo too early for a blood test???? I know it’s too early for the hpt but not sure on how the blood test works🤷🏻‍♀️
