What are yall's holiday budgets?

This will be the second year that we are doing Christmas as a fully blended family (living together, everyone present). Last year there were six of us (both my SO and I came into our relationship with two children from our previous marriages each) and this year we have added one more 👶 our children are 10, 10, 8, 6 and 8 weeks old. Last year our budget went completely out the window so this year I would like to reign it in and be more practical. Typically when it was just myself and my two children I did a total budget of $1,000. This included gifts for my two children from Santa and from myself, stocking stuffers, gifts for my niece and nephews, mom, sister/brother in law and some baking for my coworkers. Last year my SO and I spent about 250$ per child and about $1000 in gifts for our extended families/kids teachers/etc. then gifts for each other on top of that. So my budget essentially more than doubled in combining our family which makes sense because there are now twice as many people. This year I think we should lower the amount per child to about $150 each and make sure our spending for extended family comes in under 1k but perhaps I'm crazy I need to go the other way with the budget with such a large family!!! 🤷 We started the tradition with our children last year of doing the 4 gifts thing I read about online: something you want, something you need, something to wear and something to share. It worked out really well and I would like to do that again this year. I would also like to do baking baskets for a lot of our extended family which should cut down the budget significantly.
