Did you plan to or take your husbands last name when you got married?

My husband and I got married in March, and I mean we never really discussed last names..but it just dawned on me... That my last name on every thing.. it felt like a oops I did something kinda "feminist" on accident 😂

Took me 8 years and a baby to change to his last name, it wasn’t something I planned to do. It was mostly Bc I was fed up having to spell my last name to everyone, and then the following “oh what are you?” and since my LO looks like his dad, a lot of “is he yours?” questions. Now I have a plain, easy to spell last name 🤷🏻‍♀️

I took my husband's last name, but don't feel like it makes me less of a feminist. Power to those who keep theirs but I just personally felt no attachment to my maiden name, whereas my married name is a part of my husband's culture that I feel happy to have been welcomed into 😊

I wanted to hyphenate our surnames but stupid homes affairs stuffed up and just gave me his last name. I literally cried to him on the phone that I had his last name. 😂 He told me to get an ice cream and go home and calm down.
I do need to go and get it fixed because my surname on my marriage certificate is different to the name on my ID.
