Make baby bilingual?!?

Amari

Lil bit on background.. I am black and my husband is black and latino. His mom is Puerto rican and she moved to the states in her 20s to be with my husbands dad who is black yet also speaks Spanish fluently( i think he studied it or something)

She will definitely be looking after the baby the most while we’re away at work and insists on teaching the baby spanish. Which I thought was great... at first

My set back is that neither my husband nor I know spanish fluently. His mom never taught him .One because she was still trying to learn English and two because my husbands hating ass grandmother (her mother in law) told her not to.

I would love for my baby to learn another language especially spanish since we live in a predominantly black/hispanic area. I just feel that it would be too difficult and/or confusing since babies parents don’t speak it themselves. (P.S I am trying to learn on my own through an app but i know for a fact it takes years to be fluent)
