How do you handle this...?

My husband isn’t excited or happy about this pregnancy. It’s was completely unplanned and I was on BC, he wanted me to get an abortion but I wont. He keeps saying under his breath how much he doesn’t want this baby and such but I know he cares. 
He’s been making sure I take prenatals, checks up on how I’m feeling and doing, and makes sure I’m  eating well, so I know he cares about me and the baby’s health.
I’m hoping after my first ultrasound this “mistake” thought of this baby go away. I’m trying to be positive about it because I already love my little bean. 
Has anyone been in this situation and if so did your husband get used to it

Make sure he knows that the decision to have sex always meant that getting pregnant was a possibility and he accepted that already when yall did it. I mean obviously expected married couples have sex but it doesnt change the risk. BC doesnt always work and this baby is his as well. Some men come around when they see the US or meet their baby. Let him know you wont accept less than a great father. Tell him to man up amd accept his responsibilities.

That’s awful. I mean, I understand the shock and disbelief of an unplanned pregnancy, especially when you were on birth control and not really ready to try for pregnancy. But for your husband to tell you to get an abortion and to make it constantly known that he is unhappy with it and wishes you’d abort the baby and is always mumbling awful things under his breath making it known he basically hates it...I would question his character. He needs to understand that shit happens and just because you’re married and on birth control, doesn’t mean you’re exempt from the possibility of being pregnant. Birth control fails all the time! So if he has that much hatred for being pregnant right now, then y’all should have been using condoms too or pulling out. He’s allowed to be stressed about it, and scared about it...but mumbling things and making it known all the time how upset he is and suggesting abortion...those things aren’t going to solve the situation. And it sure isn’t good for you and your physical and mental health in this detrimental time, where you should be relaxing and taking care of yourself. You’re pregnant. Period. He should man up and prepare himself. Unexpected things happen in marriage all the time.

Same happened to me. Pregnant on birth control. We just had a baby he’s 1 now... he didn’t want me to have another baby. He never asked me to get an abortion because he knows that won’t ever happen. But it’s definitely caused some tension in our relationship. He’s unhappy and even after seeing the baby he’s just eh. Give him his time and don’t push it because it will definitely cause negativity in your relationship.

My roommates got pregnant unexpectedly last year, and the dad was upset for a while but he was fine eventually. And as soon as their baby was born he was absolutely obsessed. He never said he wanted an abortion though 🤷🏻‍♀️

I understand this. My husband isn't happy either but we did find out when we were separated and I think he was planning to file for divorce till we found out. He feels I did it on purpose to do so. But I was devestated when I found out because I believe a baby would mess things up not make them better. I didn't want another one, being pregnant is miserable for me, but I am so forgetful taking any of my pills and he is the one who chose to continue to sleep with me even though we were separated. We both have fault but when I complained about being sick he tells me I shouldn't have got myself knocked up then and that it is all my fault this happened. He doesn't even want to talk about the baby cuz it will set him off on one of these tantrums of me trapping him. Le sigh. Best of luck hun.
