Dumb family “advice”

Anyone else have family members give them dumb reasons for their advice?

I am pretty strict on my daughter having no screen time until she’s at least 18 months. When my MIL at my house and saw me move my 4 month old daughter to where she wasn’t sitting in front of the tv, she said “oh, you should let her watch it, it’s good for her eyes” 🤦🏻‍♀️

I was dumbfounded and had no idea how to even respond to that. Like really?!

What are some reasons people have given you for why you should do something that left you speechless?
