First pregnancy nerves

So my first appointment is scheduled for December 10th I’ll be 8 weeks along at that point but it’s just a nurse intake appointment they said they would order blood work and testing as well that day. I’m hoping that includes an ultrasound. I have another appointment scheduled the 31st with my doctor I’ll be 11 weeks by then I’m sure they’ll do an ultrasound at that appointment but that seems so late in the game. Trying not to freak myself out but there are so many miscarriage posts and I just want to know that my baby is growing as it should.
