Weight gain rant!

Claire
I am 31 weeks, and have gained about 38 lbs. I'm 5'3 and weighed an athletic 130 (with about 20% body fat) before getting pregnant, and though I'm not thrilled that I've gained almost 40 lbs (and will surely gain more before baby comes), I don't look like I've gained a ton of weight so it doesn't bother me too much. But more importantly, my BP is excellent, I passed my glucose test with flying colors, my fundal height is spot-on, I have continued exercising 3-4x a week with no issues, I eat very healthy, and have felt great throughout my entire pregnancy (I never even had morning sickness), and baby is exactly the right size, already in the right position, and is very active with a strong heartbeat. However today at my dr appt the only thing she wanted to discuss was how my weight is getting "a little higher" that it "should." So frustrating!! With every other single health marker spot on for both me and baby, why should a few extra pounds even be a second thought!? Ugh just had to rant...
