Wood watch box for Xmas gift?

Been together since July and I’m thinking about getting my bf a nice $100 wooden watch box for Xmas. 
Too much or too weird of a gift? 
We haven’t discussed price limits.
Should add it’s engraved with his initials

if he likes watches and has a lot of them, i think it’s a cute idea. $100 is a lot for a box though!

$100 might be a lot for six months in. You should probably discuss price limits. You wouldn’t want him to feel weird about how much you spent; that leads to not being able to appreciate the gift.

I did that for my SO last year because he loves watches and I buy him one every year too lol. He loves it. But we had been together for 4 years at that point.
