Has anyone tried Cumin tea to naturally induce labor???

I'm currently 37 weeks but measuring 39 weeks, 4 days and baby is 8lbs 1oz (give or take some) according to ultrasound. 
My girlfriend told me her water broke within 12 hours of drinking a package of whole cumin seed, boiled in about 2.5 cups of water.  She drank it (hot) in the afternoon and her water broke 3am that morning. Not sure how far along she was. 
Just curious if anyone has any other stories/ideas of what they did to jump start labor. I don't want to have to be induced again ...but I don't want a 10lb baby either 😓 Help

Yes i tried it & it worked, i drinked it on January 24th, went into labor January 25th & had my baby January 26th.

I had two 9 1/2 lb babies and having big babies is not that bad! Also, as an ultrasound tech I can assure you that the further along you are the more inaccurate measurements are. You could easily have your baby tomorrow and have it be 6lbs. My second son came on his own at 41+5,  91/2 lbs and 21 3/4in long and i had a biometrics test done the day before he was born and the tech said he weighed 8lb 1oz. Obviously she was way off! I would relax and let baby come when he is ready.

I would wait.. theres no tests to see what dangers home inductions can do on a baby.. I've heard distress, rapid heart rate, axphixation on bowel movements, I'd just talk to your doctor next and see if they are willing to sweep your membranes or induce you..
