Baby not moving?

Question

Is it normal to feel like my son doesn’t move around and kick as much as he’s supposed to? I feel like pregnant women say their babies move non stop but I don’t feel that way. I’ll be 28 weeks on Tuesday

Some babies move more than others. My daughter was super active in my belly (and out!) I would worry when her movement slowed down but if you drink some juice that sometimes gets them to move, I did that every now and then if I was concerned.

They say if babies movements change from  what you feel is “normal” for them or you’re not feeling any movements it’s urgent you get it checked out immediately as it can be something serious

If your baby has always been a lazy mover, and their pattern hasn’t changed then no, it’s not concerning. My first daughter was the laziest baby ever and I had to make a conscious effort every day to count kicks. Baby girl number 2 however is a constant mover and has been for weeks (currently 29w). If you feel your baby’s movement has changed/reduced, call your dr ASAP. If however its the same as it’s always been, monitor to ensure they are Moving but its likely you just have a lazy kicker in there.

Every human being is different. What is normal for baby x is different from what is normal for baby y. What matters is that he moves. And that he keeps moving the way he typically does.

I noticed a shift in movements around that time. It went from kicks to more rolls and slower movements

I feel like it’s different for every baby! My first pregnancy, with my daughter, I was always worried because she didn’t seem to move really unless I was in bed or relaxing and I had also read about people saying baby moved non stop all the time. Dr said as long as it’s what’s normal for her that’s what we look for. This pregnancy, with my son, I feel him moving so often. All day long sometimes!

Never kick count till after 28 weeks 10 kicks per two hours but any change in movement can be a concern as they dot really “run out of room” like woman think
