Waiting to miscarry

I went to the hospital last night because I had light bleeding. This was my first pregnancy so I was alarmed. When I got to the hospital everyone was being assholes including the doctor. Well after three hours of waiting they finally came to tell me that our baby died and that the obgyn on site would come speak with us. Two hours later the obgyn spoke with us to inform us that the baby stopped growing at 9 weeks (I was supposed to be 12 weeks this past Saturday) and that my hcg level was at 5,700. I’m so hurt right now and confused. My husband and I have heard and seen the heart beat since 5 weeks. We even had an ultrasound at 9 weeks 1 day where we say the baby being very active and with a heart beat of 157 bpm. I’m questioning myself on what I did wrong and why did this happen? My husband and I tried to conceive for two years 🥺 I don’t know what to do now especially since the blood has stopped..
