So my daughter was in her bedroom playing with my mother in law. She was running around, yelling, acting like the happiest kid in the world. I was taking care of our 3 week old son and my husband was watching football. My MIL comes in the living room at 8 and tells us our daughter is knocked out. Said she pointed at the light and wanted it off then pointed at her chair to rock. Instantly she was out. My husband said “well something is wrong with her.” Then my MIL says “well she feels kind of warm and she’s grunting in her sleep..” I said “that’s not like her at all. There really is something wrong.” I grabbed the thermometer and we all go in there to check. It registers 100.4. I get her up and go give her some Tylenol. About 30-45 minutes later she’s back to her normal self. Dancing to baby shark, screaming and then laughing about it, running around the house, acting perfectly fine. Well my MIL goes on home when our daughter wears herself out and I go back in her room and rock her. She goes to sleep fairly quick. So I lay her down and go grab my 3 week old and feed him. I got ready to go to bed but my husband was gonna be up a while, so he tells me to just go feel of her before I go to bed and make sure she’s not running fever again. I get our son to sleep and go in there to check her. She’s burning up and her breathing is kind of funny. I get the thermometer and check her temp: 103.5. I run outside and get my husband and he says get to the emergency room. I call my MIL to come back and she goes with me and my husband stays home with the baby. We hauled tail to the hospital. We get there and get checked in and we’re taken to the back within 5 minutes. The come come in, listen to her chest, look at her ears, and check her temp. 103.9. Says one ear is sort of red but not bad then orders a flu and strep test and a chest x ray. Great.. So he comes back and tells us the flu and strep are negative. Before I could even get the words “Oh thank goodness” out of my mouth he says “but she has pneumonia.” What?! That was nothing like we thought. Didn’t expect it one bit. So I am officially getting my first dose of the more difficult side of parenting. I start getting my schedule down pat for having 2 under 2 and now my baby girl has pneumonia and can’t be anywhere near the 3 week old. Up every couple hours checking on her, giving her her medicines, feeding the baby. This mama is tired. But these babies are so worth the tiredness I feel... As of about midnight, our daughter has been fever free. I’m praying she keeps it off and starts feeling better. I don’t want to see my babies hurting or feel bad, and I know she feels very rough right now. 😭

Picture just because despite running 103.9 fever and having doctors mess with her and having pneumonia, she still manages to grin ❀
