Let me just start off by saying I've NEVER
Been an advocate for co sleeping due to sids. When I had my first we had a really close call and he wasn't even in bed when it happened and we followed all the rules. It was awful. So when I found out I was pregnant, I was in the same boat like "he will never sleep in bed"
Well he is the most alert baby I've ever seen. At a week old he was up the majority of the day and down the majority of the night. Like 5-7 hours up or down at a time. ( my pediatrician said it's normal with bigger babies apparently so Idk) like at 3-4 weeks he was doing tummy time. At almost 6 weeks he has rolled over, anyway, here is the issue. He is almost 6 weeks now and he has decided that he wants to be up all day of course, and then unless he is in bed with me he tosses and turns and doesn't get any deep sleep. How I know this is, when he sleeps in his rock n play or crib or swing he is constantly waking up. Like every 5-10 mins. So say he sleeps for two hours, out of those two hours he is up and then I put him down, up and then down and so on. I try to let him work it out himself which usually works but still you get the point. But I noticed when he is in my bed, even if I'm not, he sleeps so much better and Idk why. I guess I'm looking for co sleeping tips, tips to get him to sleep more soundly, just all the above.
