Single parents and dating

So I’ve been seeing this issue with women I personally know and I am close with. ie. My cousin and a good friend of mine both have boys in elementary. My cousin just broke up with her bf of 8 years and has been trying to get back into the dating world; being that she is a mother it hasn’t been easy for her due to the fact that guys wont take her seriously or don’t even want to partake in any type of relationship with her. My friend probably went through that at first and she finally found a guy that she can stick with.

Should single parents date anyone? should they stick to dating other single parents?
