In preterm labor... send prayers

So I went in for my weekly appointment.

Background story is at 27 weeks I started having contractions 3 mins apart so I went to our local hospital who checked me and I was between 2 and 3cm dilated. My contractions stopped so I was sent home.

I've been doing weekly appointments with my midwife since then and today I'm 29 almost 30 weeks and had my check up. Told her my contractions are still coming and hurt but very inconsistent and they eventually stop.

So she opts to do a fetal fibronectin test and a cervix check.

I don't have results of the test yet but she was concerned because my cervix is very thin (about 80% effaced and low and very soft). Still about 2cm dilated or so. She is more concerned about the effacement and softness because she said that means I could go into labor at anytime and dilate very quickly and not realize it.

So I'm being sent to the specialist 2 hours away because their hospital has a NICU and ours doesn't. I'm going tonight and may possibly be admitted.

Please keep prayers that my baby can stay in longer.
