First time using cup

Hi! So I brought my cup not long ago and now im on my period and trying to use it I am finding it really hard to get it in. I havent actually gotten it in yet because i just feel like im hitting a wall (i have used tampons before) and I dont know what to do to help it go in. I am a virgin and i know the cup is small enough because it is like an xs but I just cant get it in and its really annoying. Can anyone please help???
