I can’t decide😭

I’m 16 and next year I have to apply to colleges. A big part of me wants to go to a college far away and live there. But if I do that it means my relationship w my bf is over. My bf is 18 and already in a college nearby. My parents also want me to go to a nearby college. Of course I want to do what I want but I don’t want to lose the guy I love. We’ve been together a year and a half and I see a future w him. I feel like if I decide to go to a college further away and have to break up w my bf I’ll be heartbroken. Basically I want to be w him but I want to go to a college that’s far away. I don’t know what to do:( My friends tell me it’d be stupid to go to a nearby college to stay w my bf but I want him😭 has anyone been through this before? Advice?
