I told my BF of two years that I don’t want to be with him but he won’t get it!

I told my (ex) boyfriend of more than 2 years that I wanted to end things.

I personally feel that there’s an incompatibility issue.

Ever since our first date I never felt “it”. I never felt the urge to hold him or love

Him.

I wanted to like him, I wanted to WANT to be in love and I tried for two years because he’s a wonderful man.

But I just can’t find a connection and I don’t want to force it anymore.

It’s not fair that I stay with him while wanting something different.

I told him this a month ago. I told him “I want something different”

Ever since, he still texts and says I love you. If I see him he’ll try to kiss me.

He cares a lot about my children. (Were in our 30s) so he stops by to give them presents or go to a football game.

How do I get across to him that I don’t want to feel like we’re together.

I told him we can’t talk but then he’ll text me and start getting mad when I don’t respond and then say “why are you being so mean to me”

It’s so frustrating and I’m trying not to hurt him

I don’t know what to do
