Can I use water for rice cereal?

I’m running low on my breastmilk supply, can I use water instead? My baby is 4 months and already cleared us for solids.

Dont do it. Rice cereal has no health benefits for babies in general and with water jistinstead of breastmilk or formula there would even less health benefits. You're best to stick to breastfeeding or using formula if you need to with proper thickeners if necessary. Don't fill bub's tummy with empty weight, they'll be losing out on being filled with proper nutritional food.

F these moms shaming cereal. First , feed the breast or bottle. Then try a small taste of cereal with breast milk or formula. It’s all about texture and swallowing. Baby isn’t used to texture or tongue control so it’s all practice. Keep the cereal really watery similar to milk and thicken it as baby tolerated over the span of a few weeks or months. It could still be early for baby to tolerate it.
