Baby's hands smell?

My babe is 5 weeks old and for the majority of her life her hands have been gloved, other than when she is being bathed. During bath times she's fussy so I noticed her fists stay clenched. I've noticed recently that her hands have a musty smell to them. I'm trying to get them clean with wipes while she's asleep and I can pry her fingers apart but they still have a smell. Any tips?

This will go away after you stop keeping baby’s hands in gloves. Mine was the same! I noticed coconut oil helped with the smell!

Their hands get moist when they are clinched all the time and then end up smelling.
Just be sure to get them as dry as you can when you wash the hands.  Removing the moisture should help.

Maybe she’s keeping them in a fiat as she is gloved so often. I only put my sons hands in gloves when he slept, otherwise his hands were free. Maybe try that & she may open her hands for you to clean them
