Im 33w2d today
Im 33w2d today. Have had severe hyperemesis throughout my entire pregnancy. So woke up this morning around 4AM super nauseated. While I was vomiting, felt a gush of fluid that was followed by the start of some contractions. After about an hour of contracting, I had another big gush of fluid with a strong contraction and was sure at that point it was almost certainly my amniotic fluid and not due to my extremely week bladder. So me and hubby packed up and drove to the hospital for triage. Didn't take them too long to do a vaginal swab and confirm my water had broken. My local hospital delivers only after 35 weeks gestation so I had my first helicopter ride to another specialty hospital in the state. Once I arrived, the OB went to check my cervix and the baby's foot was sticking out of my cervix. So they prepped my for a c-section and back to the OR we went. Everything happened so fast, it was all kind of a blur. But baby girl was born at 11:05 am weighing 3 lbs. 15 oz. and 17.75 inches long. She is breathing on her own and they anticipate we will start to try feeding her pumped milk tomorrow and see how it goes. She is doing great so far. What a blessing! Thank you Lord for a healthy baby girl. Truly the best early Christmas gift. ❤🎁🎀👼🏼
