My birth story

Amber • Mommy to a beautiful baby boy.

On 11/27 I started my day off like normal just going to my 2nd shift job and going to help with the gm trucks by working the break packs, so from around 2pm to 6lm I worked break packs but I started experiencing cramps at around 5:30 at 6 I went to lunch with 2 coworkers where I started cramping a bit worse, but I still went back and finished the break packs to move out to the sales floor at around 10pm where I then went to break and noticed I was bleeding a little bit. I then asked my coworkers about the bleeding and they told me it was my bloody show and told me that I needed to leave and go to the hospital now, well with me being the stubborn person I am I finished the final 40mins of my shift through cramps that were now getting more painful with every step. After finishing my shift one of my coworkers wanted to buy me some things before I took leave so I shopped with my coworker for another 15-20 mins and finally walked to my car. I got in my car and drove 18mins to my home as I timed my contractions which were 4 minutes apart and were lasting about a minute. After getting home I set down to see if the pain would ease off but after it not easing off I woke up my fiancee and had him drive me to the hospital when I arrived at the hospital around 1am I was dilated to 4cm and he was really engaged at about 3am i asked if I could have anything for pain and if I could go to the restroom. So the nurses came in to check me and I was already at 9cm and he was fully engaged so i could have nothing for pain but my water had not broken so after waiting an hour for my water to break itself the doctor decided he was going to break it while I done practice pushes, well while I was pushing as he was busting my water it exploded into the nurses face and my face. After my water was broken I pushed 6 times and my baby boy was out. He was born at 4:25am at 7lbs and 2oz.
