Cystic fibrosis testing

I recently had some testing done and found that I am a carrier for cystic fibrosis. The affected gene is delta f508. We met with a geneticist last night who said our options at this point are to get my husband tested, which will cost $250, or continue ttc and do the newborn screening at birth (if we conceive). If he is positive, we would have a 1 in 4 chance of having a baby with CF. If we don't do his testing, we have a 1 in 100 chance. Has anyone else been through this? Can anyone give me info on having a child with CF? Really any information that could help us in our decision would be appreciated!
