PCOS and My non existent period...

Cheyenne

A little back story. So when I was younger and I had just started my period I was miserable so like any other parent would do after a 3 week stretch of having my period and 1 week off happening multiple times it was time to do something about it. I’ve always been weird about talking about my body to anyone even my mom so I was glad something easier was available like birth control. Little did I know almost 10 years later I really should not have been on it. A great doctor taught me a lot about the chemicals in birth control and all the side effects I wasn’t aware of.

By the time I was 24 I dropped birth control and had non existent periods, so my doctor recommended progesterone to get things back in order, which worked for a while, but then we can more tests to find out I have PCOS as well.

I started dieting because my testosterone levels were so high and thankfully was able to get them lower and I’m hoping they have stayed that way with diet and exercise.

I’m now 25 and I really want kids one day and this has been the hardest struggle on my mind other then my husband not being ready and me worrying about it taking years to conceive.

I’m on my second month with the help of progesterone (still about a year now regularly taking this) but not getting my period. I’ve been super moody this time around and it’s really taking a toll. I will have pms and cramps and the entire fun events but no blood.

Have any of you experienced this? I start to feel like my body is never going to be regular enough for babies.

I try to be healthy, I am usually 155 and I’ve finally lost a bit of weight with some running but I lift weights regularly so I’m not concerned about being to heavy or anything because of my lifestyle I’d say I’m fairly slim considering my weight, but it’s still concerning because I don’t know what else I can do to be healthier.

Any suggestions or stories would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all for listening to my rambling 😂

This is me at about 151 my lowest weight in probably in 10 years but i usually feel great until this time of the month when my body is confused.
